Compassion Fatigue
Workshop

Compassion fatigue is the emotional and physical strain that can surface due to being in a position of helping others. Compassion Fatigue is increasingly affecting those in helping professions like paramedics, RCMP, social work, hospital and health care staff teams, schoolteachers, and church leaders.

The symptoms of compassion fatigue affect every area of a person’s life, influencing emotions, deteriorating bodies, and adding tension in relationships. Symptoms can be overwhelming and rob people of the fulfillment and joy in their work.

Compassion and empathy are natural human capacities; though many are stuck in a cycle of weariness that can propel them to burn out. The good news is there is hope. Preventative measures can be taken to stop compassion fatigue and proactive measures can be taken if you find yourself in a state of career burnout.

MTO reach is here to help you incorporate proper self-care, boundaries, self-compassion and emotional intelligence into your life and work.
